  • Excellent Surf School

We visited the surf school twice last week in Banna, the first time just for rentals and the second time for a 2 hour lesson. We had 4 boys aged between 8 and 11 and they had a ball. Jason was excellent with the boys and by the end of the 2 hours all of them had managed to stand up on the boards. We will definitely be back for another lesson

  • Excellent!

Definitely a trip highlight. We (adult and two children) learned so much from our instructors, Tom and Tim, who gave loads of one-on-one tips and training. They were always encouraging, helpful and friendly and made the whole experience so much fun that we came back three times. The groups were small so learning was easy. Safety and security were paramount at all times. When one of our classes had to be cancelled for reasons beyond anyone’s control (rough sea and red flags), Tom insisted that the children have a free lesson the next time. Total gentleman! We’ll definitely come back on our next trip. If you want to learn or improve your surfing in a beautiful location, this is the surf school to come to!

  • Great Fun, Great teaching

My wife & I visited on Wed 15 Aug with our three kids. Magic & Tom (instructors) were really friendly. The lesson was 2 hours and had a big emphasis on structure and learning how to surf. We have taken other lessons elsewhere and there was very little teaching. Kingdom Waves is fun, friendly and they will teach you how to surf/balance and stand. Excellent, enthusiastic and encouraging at what they do. We liked it so much we are planning on coming backwith kids friends for a birthday partt. Well done guys.

  • The best summer camps

Fantastic/Amazing Surf school!! My kids have been doing surfing camps for the last six years with Kingdom Waves and love it. It's the only camp they want to do ever year. The instructors are very professional and great fun. Tom, Jason, Lloyd, Jessie and Laura have a great way with the kids. Take my advice, if you want to learn to surf or just have some fun don't go to anyone else only Kingdom Waves, you won't be sorry! Enjoy. Marie Gannon

We are a family of 4 aged between 53 and 9 years. We have never surfed before and we all had a 2 hour lesson together (total €110) along with a family from New York and a young boy from Ireland, 8 of us altogether. Our instructor was Barry, he was kind, funny and informative and pitched the lesson at just the right level to suit us all. By the end of the lesson my youngest son was standing up, my eldest was getting there and us parents were happy to catch the waves and enjoy the thrill of the ride. Don't worry if it's raining, freezing or blowing a gale because once you get into a wetsuit and start paddling you will be boiling hot and completely knackered afterwards so take a drink. Go in your swim suit with a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and afterwards just put them back on and drip dry or go back to base to shower and change as there are no showers here. We all had the most fabulous time and couldn't stop smiling afterwards. We hired wetsuits and boards for an hour today (€5 each) and both my kids were standing up. I would highly recommend a lesson first to learn the basics even though it's pricey for a family but you won't be disappointed. Give it a go, I promise you will be grinning after catching your first wave!
